"The Land of Wulf"

"The Land of Wulf"

Is a story Jakey wrote and performs with balloon art!

Recently performed with the help of Morgan the Magnificent
(aka The Jokester)
plus all the kids at Charlotte's Birthday Party!

The basic story:

It is a land of puppies. Once a year the elder puppies gather under
the full moon and teach the baby puppies how to howl! This year
however, the full moon does not appear and instead the whole sky is a
bright orange.

The elders ask a variety of forest friends if they can help to find

out what is going on. It isn't until they ask Polly Parrot (who can
fly to the tree tops) that they discover the orange sky is actually a
herd of giraffes!

The giraffes had lost their home in a forest fire and ended up in the

land of Wulf. The tree tops in Wulf are covered in delicious purple
flowers that the giraffes can not resist! They all make friends and
agree that at the full moon the giraffes would not block the view!
Happy ending with the giraffes having a new home, and the baby puppies
all howling!!

Bastrop Homecoming/Rodeo 2010

never
had a clown attend before, and were thrilled to have me there!

I had a LOT of fun!

Many kids remembered me from the Flea Mart and thought the balloons were free... sorry! ;-(

Though I did give some away... and took others out in trade.

You give me something for free,
and I'll give you a free balloon!

Guess who ended up with
the orange eyebrows
with the green emoticon nose?
If you guessed
Jakey the Clown
you would be correct!!

4th of July Parade!

Okay. I think that the blue hair looks a little scary... ;-(
BUT it was the 4th of July, which kind of called for red, white & blue!
The kids didn't seem to mind at all - clowns are supposed to be somewhat strange.
Perhaps since my sidekick Fiona looked normal?

Elgin City Hall said it was the first time they had a clown in their 4th of July Parade.
There were lots of Cub Scouts and even The Statue of Liberty!

There was a program in Veteran's Park afterward, and had fun making balloon art for the kids!
Thank you Fiona for helping me!! :-))

Colorful Characters / Mr. Weather

I thought I was the only one in Elgin, Texas who had their bicycle decorated! I did that to enter The Elgin Western Days Parade in 2008. It was a lot of fun arranging all of my stuffed animal friends to wave along with me as we followed the Parade route! Of course my furbabies helped me to put it together! In this picture Skratchy and Squeek are showing their approval!

I really didn’t expect to win the
1st Place Blue Ribbon – there were so many incredible entries – but I did!! Everybody else had elaborate floats, were on horseback, or had their trucks or tractors decorated.

I was the only one on a bicycle!!

So, on Valentine’s Day 2010, I was much surprised to meet Mr. Weather!

I made him 2 poodles kissing on a heart balloon, and attached it to his bicycle. He said he gave it to ONE of his girlfriends – Happy Valentine’s Day!

It seems there are a LOT of colorful characters in Elgin!
