The celebration at the North Austin Events Center included music, singing and dance!

Austin's Mayor Lee Leffingwell spoke to the crowd, and a minute of silence to respect the victims of the Sikh Temple massacre in Wisconsin was observed... 

Many thanks to Austin Christian Fellowship of India, as well as Finel and his lovely family for including me!!

Oh, and I made a bunch of Octopus hats too!!  :)

The Dog Days of August....

Jakey the Clown thinks that "The Dog Days of August"

  should be renamed to 

"Octopus Days of August"!

After all, octopuses swim!

Well so do dogs, but the octopus actually lives in the water.

Stays nice and cool...

Which we should all do in the summer heat of August!

Pflugerville Pfirecracker Pfestival 2012

4th of July at the Pflugerville Pfirecracker Pfestival!

 

 Silly Sparkles the Clown did face painting...

 

Crowds gathered on both sides of Lake Pflugerville to await the firework display and listen to some great music!

 

Mercy also did face painting, and her husband also did balloon art!

I twisted blue Mardi Gras beads in my hair, and made golden "fireworks" for the ends!

It was a HOT day on the 4th of July!

The crowds started showing up when the weather started cooling down...

Everybody had tons of FUN!!

Octopus Hat!

 I have been delinquent in my blogging!  The events I have worked since March - well I've been so very busy making balloon art that there was no time to take any pictures...

I was able to give away my balloon art to the kids!
