Fall Festivals time!!

I'm so excited!!  

The Fall Festival season is

beginning!!  

The Elgin Music Festival presented by 

the Lost Pines Cowboy Church 

is on September 21st.  

Jakey will be doing 

Face Painting as well as Balloon Art! 

On  September 28th and 29th is

The Old Pecan Street Fall Festival

which I am very much looking forward to!!

Currently in negotiations to entertain at

Manor Fest on October 5th!

My nephew Brendan and his wife Erin

are having a wedding reception the following weekend, so Jakey will not be available.

Am hoping to entertain at

Pflugerville Pfall ChiliPfest 

again this year on October 19th!

On October 26th is the 26th Annual

Elgin Hog Eye Festival!

On October 27th is

Love-A-Bull Pittie Pride

in Republic Square Park in downtown Austin!

Then the Christmas season will arrive!

Looking forward to making TONS of

Rudolf the Red-Nosed Reindeers!!  :)

This Angel Doggie was up for adoption at this year's 

Love-A-Bull celebration in Republic Square Park in downtown Austin!

Many in costume, since Halloween was just 2 days away!

Austin Dog Rescue - K9 Karnival

Hard to say who had more fun at Austin Dog Rescue's K9 Karnival - the people or the doggies! Jakey sure had a wonderful time making balloons for both!

"Austin Dog Rescue is a foster home based organization that saves dogs from high-kill shelters. The dogs we save were picked up as strays or abandoned by their family and were left with no hope of a better life. We believe that life is precious and the dogs we save deserve no less than a second chance at finding a loving, caring home. We are the catalyst behind giving them that chance."

There was an Obstacle Course and a Scavenger Hunt! One of the items on the Scavenger Hunt was a hat. So I ended up making a few balloon "hats" for the doggies!

Melissa from Austin Dog Rescue liked her purple balloon doggie! She did a great job organizing the K9 Karnival and also makes a yummy berry sorbet!! :-)

Rescue Ink!!

LOVE these guys! Champions of abused animals - traveling the country rescuing our furry friends from neglect and inhumane treatment!

I'm holding a picture of Freckles - my rescued Pit Bull. I wish Rescue Ink had been here when Freckles managed to run away from the mean people who had the Pit Bull fighting ring a few miles away from where I live. Rescue Ink would have set those cowards straight!

The Love-A-Bull Festival downtown Austin on November 7th, 2010
was attended by hundreds of dogs and their humans!

Bringing awareness to the community that the Pit Bull breed is getting a BAD RAP!
Bad behavior is taught by the owner, not inbred in the breed!

Everybody got along just fine!! :-))

There was a parade to begin the festivities with. I saw it on the news, but not in person. I did get a couple of photos of participants in the costume contest...
